Bio:
I’m Head of Programmes at Culture24, responsible for the development and delivery of our publishing strategy and portfolio of projects and partnerships. I oversee the specification, data structuring, taxonomy and UID of www.culture24.org.uk and led the thinking behind their award-winning children’s site www.show.me.uk. I’m currently leading Culture24’s data sharing partnerships with the BBC, Hewlett Packard and other partners. I’ve advised on a diverse range of arts, heritage and education advisory groups, boards and projects over the years, all with the aim of creating and showcasing cultural content in user-centric, inspiring ways. I was a teacher for several years before starting out as a museum education consultant and writer and joining Culture24 in 2001. I’m not technical – I deal with strategy, commissioning, education, content creation and production. Finally, I’m a founding trustee of the Kids in Museums charity and a judge of The Guardian's annual Family Friendly Museum Awards.
