Bio:
Dave Lester is Assistant Director at the Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities at the University of Maryland, where he directs the design and development of digital research projects and open source software. He has a passion for open source software, the digital humanities community, and inter-institutional collaboration. Dave serves on the Project Execution Group of Project Bamboo, which is developing applications and shared infrastructure including web services, and this spring directed a digital humanities API Workshop (http://mith.umd.edu/apiworkshop/), funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Prior to joining MITH, he was the Omeka developer community coordinator at the Center for History and New Media, and co-founder of THATCamp: The Humanities and Technology Camp unconference.
