I am the Program Manager for the Harvard Library Office for Scholarly Communication and I was previously the Project Manager for the Harvard-Google book digitization project and the Library Digital Initiative. Before coming to Harvard 9 years ago I was one of two people on the Colorado Digitization Project (now the Collaborative Digitization Program). In other words, I have skills in convincing librarians, archivists, and curators to buy in to new technology and programs that seem daunting and unpleasant at first. These projects have allowed me to build trusted ties with the library, archival, and museum communities and I’m skilled at moving ideas into production. My training is both as an archivist and librarian and this provides me with a broad perspective on approaching new programs within these communities.
