Bio:
Francesco Spagnolo, PhD, is a multidisciplinary scholar focusing on Jewish Studies, music and digital media, and the Curator of The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life at The University of California, Berkeley (Bancroft Library). At The Magnes, he reframed the collection's structure (and management) in its integrated Library, Archives and Museum (LAM) components, created an online database offering a unified LAM search environment, and initiated several innovative digital programs, including "Jewish Digital Narratives," a project involving the online dissemination of cultural heritage collections, digital storytelling and archiving that aligns database approaches and social media tools.
